We have made a significant enhancement to the Portal system. The primary purpose of this change is to allow a “training page” to be associated with a phishing test. A training page is a landing page where information may be provided to the recipient or target. There may be more than one training page within the system. As such, a different training page may be associated with a different phishing tests.
As a result of this update, you will see a few differences within the system. These changes are highlighted below.
Key Change: Creation or modification of a training page
A training page may be associated with any phishing template. This training page is a single webpage where material may be presented to the target upon specific actions, such as upon clicking a link in an email or upon summiting data from a landing page. Training pages are created via the Templates menu at the top of the page. The training page editor is similar to the landing page editor.
Key Change: Able to select a training page to associate with a phishing test.
When creating a test through the wizard, you will be able to associate a training page to a specific test. To associate a training page, you must first create a training page via the Template menu at the top of the page. You must also use the Template menu to modify an existing training page as you cannot edit a training page via the test wizard. To associate a training page to a phishing template you have a few options.
Option 1) No landing page, redirect the recipient/target directly to a training page.
With this option, if the target clicks the link, they will be immediately redirected to the training page selected. You must first create/edit a training page via the Templates menu at the top of the page. Once created, select the “Training Page” hook from the email editor. Then, select the training page you would like to use.
Option 2) Redirect the recipient/target to a training page after submitting data to a landing page.
With this option, the target will be redirected to the selected training page if they click submit on the landing page. First, create/edit a training page via the Templates menu at the top of the page. Once created, select the Training Page redirect option on the Landing page editor. Then, select the training page you would like to use.
Key Change: Additional redirect options upon submitting data on a landing page.
The method for configuring the completion redirect has changed. When editing a landing page, you now have a drop down box that allows you to select: No Redirect, Training Page, or URL. These options are detailed below.
No Redirect Option: If you select No Redirect, the target/recipient will not be redirected anywhere upon submission of information.
Training Page: If you select Training Page, you will be provided an option for selecting a specific training page. You must first create/edit the training page via the Template menu. With this option, the target/recipient will be redirected to the selected training page upon submitting data on the landing page.
URL Redirect: If you select URL redirect, you will be presented with a text field to enter the URL that you would like the target redirected. The target/recipient will be redirected to this URL upon submitting data on the landing page.
Key Change: No longer able to create new templates via the wizard.
When creating a test through the test wizard, you will be no longer able create a new template from scratch. You will still be able to copy, select, and modify existing templates. To create a new template, you will need to use the Template menu at the top of the page. From there, you will see a new section within the templates menu, “Create New Template.” When you create a new template, you will now be provided an option to create a new phishing template, or training page.
