Overview
The CSV Wizard offers granular options for generating customized CSV files. It allows you to choose a report type, tailor the data fields included, and apply specific filters. After selecting the desired fields and filters, you can preview the report to ensure the data is correctly structured. Once satisfied, you can generate and download the CSV file or email it to multiple recipients.

Fields
After selecting the Report Type, you'll move on to the Fields tab. Here, you can choose which fields you want to include as columns in the CSV report or remove any you don’t need. The available fields are tailored to the selected Report Type.
Filters
The Filters tab allow you to include or exclude data based on conditions that are applied to the selected fields. The results can be filtered based on matching any or all of the filtering conditions. The available Operators are:
!= | Does not equal |
= | Equals |
contains | contains (string/character matching) |
> | Greater Than |
< | Less Than |
>= | Greater Than or Equal To |
<= | Less Than or Equal To |
Example:
In the example above, the Group Course Enrollment report type was selected. The enrollments will be filtered to include only students who are active (not false), were enrolled after 10/04/2023 at 2:38 PM (greater than 10/04/2023 at 2:38 PM), and are part of the 'Testing' group.
Preview
Once you've set the filters, you can preview the first 10 rows of the CSV to ensure it includes the field data you need. If the preview meets your expectations, proceed to the Finalize report step.
Finalize
In the final step of the CSV Wizard, provide a name for your report and choose a generation method. You can either generate and download the CSV immediately, which will temporarily lock your browser session, or you can opt to have the CSV emailed to a comma-separated list of addresses once it’s ready. Choosing the email option will not lock your browser session.
After completing the process, your configured settings will be saved, allowing you to quickly pre-populate the wizard’s forms by selecting the saved report from the 'Custom' list in the report selection step.
