Overview
An event in PhishingBox is a trigger-based automation that performs an action when a specific activity occurs within your account—such as when a campaign or test ends, or when a user is added to a group. Events help streamline workflows by automatically generating reports, enrolling users in training, or sending notifications based on these predefined conditions.
To get started, navigate to: Administration > Settings > Account Events.
Creating Events
Click the "Create" button to open a pop-up window where you can set up a new event.
In the first tab, you’ll define the basic details of your event. This includes giving the event a name, selecting an event type, and choosing the specific trigger from the Select dropdown. Available event types include:
- Add Target to a Group - Automatically enroll a target into a course or program when they are added to a group.
- When a campaign ends - Generate a campaign report when a campaign finishes. This can be configured for a specific campaign or for all campaigns using the "Target Campaign option.
- When a test ends - Generate a test report when a test ends. This can be configured for a specific test, or for all tests (Target Test).
- Automated Report - Schedule reports to be generated and delivered automatically on a recurring basis.
Note:
- Run Report generates the report within PhishingBox. Once complete, the event creator will receive an email notification (if Report Generated Notification is enabled in the Notifications tab) with instructions on how to access it.
- Send Report generates the report and emails it as a PDF to the specified recipients.
