Manage Dashboard Messages

Overview

You can create custom banner messages that will display on the dashboard of all subaccounts or on the school portal. 

To get started, navigate to Reseller > Settings > Manage Dashboard Messages.

Managing Banner Messages

On the Manage Dashboard Messages page, a table containing all created banners will be displayed. This table contains information about each banner, including the banner's name, start date, and end date. The Actions drop-down will allow you to edit or delete the banner:

Furthermore, the "Filter" button on the top right will allow for the filtering of created banners within the table, and the "Export" button will allow for the exportation of the table into a CSV, Excel, or PDF file. The "Copy" option copies table information to the clipboard. 

 

Creating Banner Messages

To create a new dashboard banner, click the "Add Message" button on the top-right. You will then be presented with the Add Dashboard Message modal:

The red asterisk next to each field indicates that the field is required before the Dashboard Message is saved. The fields are the following:

  • Name - The name of the banner.
  • Display on -  The portal (admin or school) that the message will be displayed on. 
  • Box Class - The color of the banner background.
  • Icon - A small image to be displayed on the banner, used to indicate the nature of the content.
  • Start Date & Time - The time the banner should appear on the dashboard.
  • End Date & Time - The time the banner should disappear from the dashboard. 
  • Timezone - The time zone for the start and end dates the banner should adhere to. 
  • Message - The text content of the banner.
