Phishing Templates/Campaigns vs Training Templates/Campaigns

In November 2022, PhishingBox released the training templates and campaigns feature. Training templates are a type of template that are not meant as simulated phishing, but rather direct phishing education emails sent directly to target inboxes. The emails themselves give targets instructions on how to avoid being phished. In training tests/campaigns, only email open actions, viewed training page actions, and email reported actions can be logged. Links in training emails can lead to a training page, custom URL, or no where ("No Redirect" in the training template editor).

All tests/campaigns prior to November 2022 were the phishing type. Phishing emails are intended to simulate real-life phishing attacks. Links in phishing emails can lead to a landing page, training page, custom URL, or nowhere ("No Redirect" in the phishing template editor).

The option you choose on the first step of the campaign wizard will determine what type of campaign you are creating - a phishing campaign or a training campaign.
