In November 2022, PhishingBox released the training templates and campaigns feature. Training templates are a type of template that are not meant as simulated phishing, but rather direct phishing education emails sent directly to target inboxes. The emails themselves give targets instructions on how to avoid being phished. In training tests/campaigns, only email open actions, viewed training page actions, and email reported actions can be logged. Links in training emails can lead to a training page, custom URL, or no where ("No Redirect" in the training template editor).
All tests/campaigns prior to November 2022 were the phishing type. Phishing emails are intended to simulate real-life phishing attacks. Links in phishing emails can lead to a landing page, training page, custom URL, or nowhere ("No Redirect" in the phishing template editor).
The option you choose on the first step of the campaign wizard will determine what type of campaign you are creating - a phishing campaign or a training campaign.
You can view your phishing and training tests from the Manage Tests page. Just be sure to filter by the type you are wanting to view.
You can view phishing email templates in the library by choosing the "Phishing Templates" Template Type on the Template Library page. To view training email templates, filter by "Training Emails" on the Template Library page.
To create a phishing email template, choose "Phishing Email Template" as the Template Type on the Create Template page. To create a training email template, choose "Training Email Template" as the Template Type on the Create Template page.
