Creating a Template Example

Navigate to Templates > Create Template. This will open the Template Creation Wizard.

From here, you have four options for the template type:

  1. Phishing Email Template - An email that a target will receive in a phishing simulation.
  2. Phishing Landing Page Template - A web-page that a target will be directed to if they click a link in a phishing email.
  3. Training Page Template - A web-page that a target will be directed to if they click a link in a phishing email that contains training materials (infographics, videos, etc.).
  4. Training Email Template - A training email that a target will receive after failing a phishing simulation.

Then simply select "Create".

After clicking the "Create" button, you are now redirected to the Template Editor.

On the right-hand side, you have the following dropdowns:

  1. Template Settings - Here, you can title your template, write a description, select template categories, select template departments, and select template industries.

Note: To get more information about a specific setting, hover over the question mark icon.

  1. Library Settings - Here, you can select the library (or libraries) that the template should be a part of.
  2. Instance Sync Settings - Here, you can choose instances that templates should be synced to.
  3. Email Settings - Here, you can define the following: From Name, From Email, Reply-To Email, Email Subject, and whether or not to use the Default Locale.
  4. Completion Settings - Here, you can define the Completion Option, Landing Page Template, and Domain Name.
  5. Tracking Settings - Here, you can choose whether or not to track attachments.
  6. Miscellaneous - Here, you can define miscellaneous details, such as the Hook URL Link Text, Custom Header Name, Custom Header Value, and Body Background Color.

On the top-right of the template editor, you can select from the following:

  1. Phishing Email - Preview of the phishing email that the target will see.
  2. Landing Page - Preview of the landing page that the target will see.
  3. Training Page - Preview of the training page that the target will see.

On the top-right of the web-page, you can select from the following:

  1. Copy Template - Copies the template.
  2. Preview and Test - Allows you to preview and test the template in a specific email environment (e.g., if the target is using Gmail, you can test how the email will appear.) Within Preview and Test, there is:
    1. A field to add emails. At least one email is required.
    2. A toggle for Direct Delivery.
    3. A toggle for Replicate a Specific Target.
  3. Save - Saves the template.

On the bottom-left of the web-page, there is a drop-down menu where you may select your Locale.

We highly recommend using the same domain that you used in Configured Domain Name as the domain for the "From Email".
