A template can have an attached PDF or HTML file that will get sent with the phishing email template. The templates are localized and can be found in the template library. Links in the attached file will be hook links that can take the target to a landing or training page. These attachment opens count towards the Data Extended metric.
Getting a PDF Attachment Template
To get a PDF attachment for template, navigate to the Template Library. On the left hand side, there will be a filter in the Phishing Experience section of the filter menu. Clicking this filter will show all the templates available with a PDF attachment.
Templates with a PDF attachment will show a "Preview Attachment" Icon. Clicking the icon will display the attachment in a pop up window. Clicking the "Get" button will add the template to your account.
Using a PDF Attachment
PDF's will also be available for use with any template. To add a PDF to a template, go to Manage Templates. Editing a Phishing Email template will load the Template Editor. On the right hand menu, there will be a dropdown for "Tracking Settings", expand this.
To Enable the attachment tracking, turn on the "Track an Attachment" option. This will present you with two dropdowns. The first is a menu of premade attachments that can be added to the template. The second is the file type for the attachment, which can be PDF or HTML. Once you have Chosen a attachment and the file type, click "Save" in the top right of the editor.
PDF Attachment Tracking
