Overview
Our AI Template Editor can be found by navigating to:
Templates > Create Template, and selecting the "AI" button under "Template Type".
From here, you may select your Template Type using the dropdown, and enter custom instructions for the AI to do in the textbox below, then hit "Generate HTML".
However, to use this tool most effectively, read about our:
Ideal Use Case
The ideal use case for our AI Template Editor is for instances where you want a basic template created from scratch -- and having the expectation of making your own tweaks later.
Although the AI is a powerful tool for generating a quick-and-dirty template, the output will not be perfect. Thus, the ideal use case for the AI Template Editor should be "I want to create a template quickly, and I expect to make small refinements later".
One may think of the ideal use case as a "Starter" Template generator, that will be modified by you -- or the AI.
Best Practices
Optimizing your prompts to get the best result from AI generation is a tricky endeavor. However, there are general heuristics that you can follow to get the most out of the AI Template Editor:
- Specific and clear instructions,
- Context that has breadth and depth, and
- Constraints.
Example of each heuristic
For specific and clear instructions, compare:
- "Make a training page for my company", and
- "Make a phishing email page for that comes from Microsoft that is professional in writing and appears as legitimate."
Essentially, the more information you provide the AI, and the more specific the information, the better the AI will do in fulfilling your request.
For context that has breadth and depth, something like copying and pasting a real example email from Microsoft would provide ample context for the AI. Further, using delimiters (such as `, ", ') to separate this information from your prompt assists the AI further.
For constraints, something like "Do not do x" would provide the AI with guidance on what you would not like it to generate.
Current Limitations
The AI Template Editor has some limitations, listed below:
- Grabbing logos,
- Setting proper hook links,
- Language-specific errors (see Other Languages and the AI Template Editor below),
- The AI is not aware of other templates (E.g., saying "Make a template like {template_name}" will not work),
- The generated AI Templates will not be as refined as templates that come from our content team.
NOTE: Not all limitations are listed. Given the nature of AI, there may be instances where the AI may outperform expectations, or have other limitations that are discovered through use.
Other Languages and the AI Template Editor
The AI can be unreliable when it comes to translation, or handling nuances in foreign languages.
For example, in certain languages such as German, there are quirks that can make the phishing email obviously illegitimate. In German, for instance, there are two ways to say "You" (singular):
- "Du" -- This is an informal, unprofessional way to say "you". "Du" is primarily used for family, friends, and people we know on a first name basis.
- "Sie" -- This is a formal, professional way to say "you". "Sie" is primarily used in professional environments, and as a means to show respect for individuals older than us, in higher educational status (a professor, for example), and so on.
Thus, the AI can make the mistake of using "Du" when "Sie" would be more appropriate. This error, while seemingly small to non-German speakers, would throw up massive red flags for a German-speaking target if they were to receive it from Volksbank.
