Overview
To edit a course, go to School > Manage Content and choose Edit from the action drop-down.
Click one of the below links to jump to a section:
Course Details
This section lets you specify the course name, categories, description, and learning content and learning material of the course.
- Course Name - is the name of the course you are creating. Give your course a unique, descriptive name.
- Course Category - allows you to place your course into zero or more categories.
- Description (optional) - will allow you to provide your students with a brief description of the course.
- Thumbnail Image - this is an icon that will appear for that course on your Manage Courses page, as well as on the school dashboard. (Think of it as a way to visually identify your different courses.) This image should be a 128px by 128px jpeg, png, or bmp file.

Locales - this allows you to add another version of the course in another language. When you click the '+' sign, you will be presented with a screen that asks you to select the locale to copy and the locale to be created. The new locale will copy the Course Details from the source locale. When a course is assigned, and multiple locales are available, the student will receive the locale that matches their language.
Content
The content tab allows you to set the course type (video, slideshow, SCORM, PDF, none) and upload learning material. Learning material is additional information content that the student can review while taking the course.

Learning Content - in this section, you get to choose the type of learning content your students will see when they first open the course. You have three types to choose from.

Video Link (YouTube or Vimeo) - simply place the full link (including https://) to the video. Do not use URL shorteners for the link - use the full link to the video.
- If you would like to add an unlisted YouTube video, follow these steps:
- Visit the unlisted video
- Click the three vertical dots next to the video
- Click "Get Shareable link"
- The link will resolve to a link like this "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=[video_id]". This is the link that will need to be used for the course in portal
NOTE: If you're using Vimeo, strict mode may not lock out scrubbing since play bar settings are controlled from the video account and not the player.
- If you would like to add an unlisted YouTube video, follow these steps:
- Slideshow Link - provide the link to a slideshow. This will have to be a learning content link (for example, a link to a Google Slides slideshow). Also, the course will need to be in Loose mode for the students to be able to get beyond the end of the slideshow. Read this article for instructions on creating a slideshow course.
- PDF - Provide a .pdf file. This will display the PDF to the student. The course questions will need to be in Loose mode for the students to be able to complete.
- SCORM File - use a SCORM file as the learning type. Read more about SCORM files here.
- None - no content is set. The student will go straight to the questions when taking the course.

- Learning Material - you can add additional material (images, PowerPoint files, etc.) that will appear on the right-hand side of the course, and is available for students to open/download. However, you can only add these to the course after the course has been created. You would go to School >
Questions
After clicking the "Create Course" button (for a new course) or the 'Update Course' button (for a course that's being edited), the screen will refresh and you will see a Questions tab appear at the top. It is from the Questions tab that you can specify if the course is loose or strict (courses are loose by default).
- Strict means that the student must finish all learning content material before being able to move on to the questions.
- Moderate difficulty courses follow the same rules as Strict difficulty courses except the student can see their answers after finishing a quiz.
- Loose means that students can skip the learning content and go immediately to the questions. They will be able to see if their answers are correct as soon as they choose their answer.
Library
If you are managing a library account, you will also have another tab called Library. On this tab you can manage who can and cannot view/use/get your course.

Who can see the course? controls who can see the course in their Content Library / Store page.
- Private means only this account can see the course.
- Sub Accounts means only the accounts associated with the library account and their sub-accounts can see the course.
- Public means all accounts in the system can see the course in their library. For the course to show up, however, system administrators must first approve the course.

How to subscribe? controls how other accounts can get a subscription to the course.
- Other accounts can create subscription means the account can subscribe to the course themselves. In the Content Library / Store, the button will read "Subscribe" for the course.
- Course owner must create subscription means that you must create the subscription for other accounts. This will likely be because the is a fee for the course and payment needs to be processed first. In the Content Library / Store, the button will read "Request" instead of "Subscribe" for the course. An email will be sent to the account support address.
- Price (per target per year) is the price that other accounts will need to pay in order to get a subscription to the course. It is recommended to charge for the number of seats that the other account has for the year.
